Spotlight: CloudSigma attended HPE Partner Summit June 2019
CloudSigma CEO Robert Jenkins attended the HPE Global Partner Summit 2019 which took place June 17-19 in Las Vegas. CloudSigma has been an HPE Partner Ready Service Provider and technical partner since 2017. We are also a Cloud28+ partner and have been using the platform to promote our services and content with great success. The event was a catalyst to connect with partners and exchange ideas for collaborations that will ignite innovation, efficiency, and profitability for all parties. CloudSigma CEO Robert Jenkins participated in two panels during the HPE Xchange and HPE Discover events. During Xchange, he introduced CloudSigma's next-generation software-defined offering Network-as-a-Service which is ideal for enterprises wishing to integrate their cloud usage into a secure networking topology for an extremely affordable price. At Discover, Robert spoke about the value of digital marketing engines like Cloud28+. The platform has been a crucial channel for CloudSigma to build local and global connections and ultimately find the right partners for mutual business growth. CloudSigma's V2 Public Cloud expands rapidly, becoming the leading public cloud offering in the region
Last year CloudSigma, Virtual Vision and HPE teamed up to launch V2 Public Cloud- the first-ever public cloud offering based entirely in Saudi Arabia. Especially after the announcements of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the collaboration has proven to be an ideal fit for local corporate and government clients to safeguard their data assets locally. In order to further strengthen positions in the UAE market, today V2 and CloudSigma are focused on developing a number of innovative solutions to their customers, including SAP, object storage and a VMware cloud offering. CloudSigma is happy to introduce a brand new backup functionality available for all customers in our European cloud locations. The new feature is an extension of our standard snapshot service. It is based on remote snapshots that allow customers to create point-in-time snapshots as an independent backup in a different cloud location of CloudSigma. CloudSigma selected for the initial voucher program of the OCRE project
CloudSigma is thrilled to announce that the company was selected as a cloud partner for the initial phase of the OCRE project. The Open Clouds for Research Environments project (OCRE) was launched in 2019. Its aim is to bring together cloud providers, Earth Observation (EO) organizations and the research and education community in order to accelerate cloud adoption. CloudSigma has been chosen as a service provider for the voucher program by OCRE's coordinator, GÉANT. CloudSigma has been a preferred partner for cloud services to the GÉANT academic network since 2017. As such, CloudSigma is a part of the GÉANT Cloud Catalogue IaaS portfolio. GÉANT is particularly excited to work with CloudSigma, taking into consideration our extensive experience with research and innovation, as well as Earth Observation.
