Prices Drop up to 18% in Zurich Hi tee, We have three important updates to share with you today. Lower prices for compute & SSD storage in Zurich We are wholly committed to continually offering our customers competitive pricing and service. Our hardware team is always passionate about finding ways to optimize costs and maximise savings. Effective immediately we are reducing our compute and SSD storage prices as follows: - 13% reduction for CPU and RAM - 18% reduction for SSD storage CPU & RAM will be priced at just CHF 0.0059 (EUR 0.0055) per GHz/GB per hour compared to CHF 0.0068 (EUR 0.0063) per GB per hour previously and SSD storage falls to CHF 0.098 (EUR 0.091) per GB per month compared to CHF 0.120 (EUR 0.112) per GB per month previously. Take our cloud for a free test spin.                                              Exchange rate update Occasionally we need to update pricing in the various currencies to reflect the actual prevailing rates. We try and minimise these updates but need to adjust periodically when movements exceed an acceptable limit. This change will only affect your pricing if you are using a different currency than the main base currency for that specific location. We use the local currency as the base currency for each location. Charging Changes All SQL licences must be purchased in pairs of cores. Additionally the minimum licensed core count per instance is four cores. For example, an SQL instance with four cores will require four SQL core licenses (due to minimum licensing per instance). Likewise an instance with 11 cores would require 12 cores to be licensed (due to the pairing). Windows Server 2016 licensing must be purchased in pairs of cores. Additionally the minimum licensed core count per instance is eight. We are now exposing Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) licence for purchase in the webapp. Please note ALL USERS on the server beyond the original admin (the CloudSigma user) require an RDS license. If you have multiple users on any Windows Server you need to purchase RDS licenses to cover them going forward.
