Lower magnetic storage pricing plus a new BGP hosting service View this email in your browser   Pricing Updates plus a new BGP Service Dear tee, We have three important announcements for you today: Over 30% price drop on our high performance magnetic storage offering in Zurich BGP Peering with IP Range advertising Updated currency exchange rates globally Significantly Lower Pricing of our High Performance Magnetic Storage Our hardware team is always passionate about finding ways to optimize costs and maximize savings. This time, they've managed to outdo themselves by optimising our magnetic storage servers' setup enabling a 31% reduction in pricing to you. Currently, our high performance magnetic offering is available in Zurich and will be priced CHF 0.05 per GB per month compared with CHF 0.0725 previously. BGP Peering /24 IP Range Advertising Starting January 2017, CloudSigma will officially start offering BGP Peering and IP Range advertising. Should you wish to have a BGP peering session setup for you, please get in contact with your dedicated account manager. They will provide you with a set of documents we require in order to ensure that we can effectively advertise your IP range. Setting up a BGP peering session carries a one off fee of only CHF 250 plus CHF 75 per month for a /24 range or CHF 600 annually. Your IPs will be advertised in an identical way to our own CloudSigma IPs and benefit from the varied external connectivity and peering sessions that we maintain. If you wish to host a larger IP range just contact us to discuss pricing and your requirements. Updated Exchange rates It has been a long time since we last updated the exchange rates used by our cloud platform. We try and cover all the major currencies plus the local one (if difference) in our various cloud locations as a convenience to customers. Over time however as exchanges rates change we need to occasionally update the pricing to reflect that. This change will only affect your compute resources if you are using a different currency than the main base currency for the specific location. Changes will however affect all non-US Dollar pricing of Microsoft product licenses as the main currency for those is US dollars. Please refer to the tables below, which present the local base currency together with the approximate price shift in percent against the base currency for that location. For some of our newer locations exchange rates are more recent so the impact is minimal. The pricing below will come into effect on the 23rd of December.
